"imagine being told by your insurance agent that, OUT OF NOWHERE you need to replace the roof of your shed... or your entire home's insurance is terminated on short notice. that was our experience with ROB Gleason's team. someone did an unannounced roadside assessment, and "a letter" was supposedly mailed out to us in winter (?), but we never received that letter. Then in the spring, we got a letter that said we have TWO WEEKS to [play a game of ever changing shifting demands or] replace the roof. ...Ever try to schedule a contractor in spring, in Cape May area, on short notice?? Rob Gleason's team was not willing to do anything to help. Rules are rules, and their rules are THE RULES. Despite taking days off from my job, on short notice, to try to meet the demands from them and sending them photos of the work being done on the detached garage (it's really more of a big shed), the goalposts were then moved and the work we did was deemed "not enough" by who knows who. Let me be clear, we tried to do what was asked, but rather than come 5 miles from their office to see the situation, they made us send photos. Rob Gleason’s team said, and I quote: “We can’t make any decisions, here. We can only pass along photos that you send us to Corporate, and then the underwriters make the decision.” Wow. We had even agreed to replace the roof and asked for an extension— and we were merely told “No.” So, two weeks after the one letter we received, after time off from work, after a ton of work that served no purpose because our roof was and is fully functional-- our coverage was terminated. Dealing with Rob Gleason's team is among the worst business experiences in my life and i would recommend steering clear of doing business with them. Regarding the odd reply from them-- we've owned and maintained this property for 50 years. Basic maintenance? Please. The phone calls they cited were placed by US to THEM, after we were notified we only had two weeks to do an impossible amount of work in that time frame. That reply says all you need to know."
